When your age becomes your target score! We had a fantastic group outing for a session of ten pin bowling at Hollywood Bowl, Westwood Cross.
With an average score of 81 it was a competitive afternoon….. and proof that anything is possible with the right support. After watching the recent Olympics, the winners knew how to check their gold medals!
Our monthly outings are an important feature in our calendar. Traditional care at home doesn’t always come with companionship, memories, laughter and achievements…. that difference is something we pride ourselves on here at Avelo. We design our group outing days at various venues across Thanet and tailor them to the needs of those joining us – dementia, mobility, and sensory impairments should not be a barrier to an active and fulfilling life.
We are also able to offer 1-1 companionship and outings. The content and location of these sessions can be changed weekly and are tailored as part of your individual care and support plan, giving you full control of where to go and what you enjoy.
