At Avelo Care, Companionship is at the heart of everything that we do
There are different type of Companionship services we can offer:
One-on-One Social Interaction: Regular visits for conversation, outings, or shared hobbies.
Companionship for Specific Needs: For individuals with dementia, mobility challenges, or mental health concerns, companions can provide targeted care.
Family Respite: Offering families peace of mind by providing loved ones with companionship when they are unable to be present.
Sometimes people like to sit and talk about their lives and experiences over a cup of tea, or discuss current news and events perhaps. A couple of hours spent painting, crafting or being in the garden can have a hugely positive effect on someone’s well being. A walk through the park or along the coastline, enjoying music at the bandstand or a meal out at a local restaurant, whatever your interests we will do our best to match someone who can support you to carry on doing the things you love.
We can offer a mixture of the following services
or in addition to physical assistance. Care staff provide emotional support and companionship, helping reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
Sit In Service
Outings
Group Activities
Accompanied Appointments
The same or small team of care staff ensures continuity and familiarity, which is crucial for building trust and effective care.
Enjoying social activities is an important part of life
Avelo Care support clients to take part in meeting other people, taking up new activities and enjoying the hobbies they love. We also have groups where clients can come together and socialise in a safe environment during the day. Groups are sometimes activity-led and might involve working on art projects, singing, talks or simply enjoying the company of others over a cup of coffee and a biscuit.
