
Shaun Parr
Owner & Managing Director
Shaun is responsible for the day to day operations and service delivery at Avelo Care to ensure we meet our regulatory requirements as well as maintain our status as the care provider and care employer of choice in East Kent. Shaun is the CQC Responsible Individual for Avelo Care Services
Shaun has over 16 years of experience in the care sector, in roles mainly focussing on quality assurance, compliance and operational management. Shaun has worked at the Board level for some of the largest homecare providers in the UK and, more recently, has been supporting smaller organisations in consultancy and turnaround roles, achieving high levels of success in each of those appointments.
Shaun holds a Human Resources Degree as well as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

Julie Parr
Owner & Director of Operations
Julie has over 30 years of experience in the home care sector and has held various senior management positions covering home care, extra care, and daycare services. Her vast knowledge and experience make her well-equipped to manage our care services, and she is also the CQC Registered Manager for Avelo Care Services.
She is very much the face of Avelo and provides a great deal of support to clients and their families as well as supporting our wider care team, very much a key role in our business.
Julie completed her RMA (Registered Managers Award) in 2006

Steph Burton
Commercial Director
Steph has over 20 years experience in the care sector. Following acquisitions of smaller care companies up to national level, her last role was for the UKs biggest Learning Disability provider supporting almost 5,000 service users in multiple care settings including Domiciliary, Residential, Supported Living and Clinical Care.
A mixture of systems, finance and business design are a real passion for Steph, supporting the day to day running of the business behind the scenes.
Steph holds a degree in Management Science & Business Administration and recently achieved a distinction in her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.

Nikki Blake
Care Manager
Nikki has worked in the Care sector for 13 years, starting out escorting elderly clients to and from a Day Centre and progressing in her career to a Day Centre Manager.
Before joining Avelo Care, Nikki managed 2 Day Centres, the first a secure Dementia Unit with up to 20 clients visiting daily, and the second a Social Day Centre that catered for 60 clients daily.
Nikki holds an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care and is also a trainer for manual handling.
“I am proud to be a part of a team who make a difference for our clients on a daily basis. I enjoy meeting people and am happy to get the right care setup for each individual to meet their needs and preferences.”


Claire Mabberley
Care Manager
Claire has spent her whole career working in the Health & Social Care sector, with over 25 years experience. She has worked in a variety of settings including Domiciliary, Care Homes, Fostering, and working with young adults and Childrens homes.
Claire previously worked at Avelo as a Senior Carer and her most recent role was as Deputy Manager at a Care Home. She is excited to be back with the team.
“I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to learn about our Clients and Staff. I like to be busy and enjoy care planning, building personalised plans with Clients to meet all their needs and goals”.

Rebecca English
Care Manager
Rebecca is in her 14th year working within the health and social care sector, previous roles include residential settings and working within SecAMB as an emergency medical advisor.
She first joined Avelo in 2017 as a community carer and quickly progressed to the role of Care Manager. After taking a career break in 2023, Rebecca rejoined the team in 2024.
Rebecca completes care package reviews, assessing changing needs and medications, and quality assurance visits.
Rebecca has completed her Level 4 Diploma in Adult Health and Social Care and is also a trainer for manual handling and mental health well-being.
“I love to go home at the end of day with the knowledge that the fab team at Avelo have gone above and beyond and ensured clients have received care tailored to their needs and wishes”.

Chloe Parish
Care Co-ordinator
Chloe has worked in the Care sector for the last 12 years. Starting as a Support Worker at a Day Centre, Chloe has also worked out in the community for the last 2 years.
Chloe will be taking on a new challenge with Avelo, overseeing the scheduling for clients and staff.
“I enjoy spending time with people and working as part of a team. I enjoy working in all areas of care but I like making people smile and laugh, sometimes that small gesture can be the highlight of their day. I’m looking forward to the opportunity of learning more skills working with the office team”.
Katie Morgan
Senior Carer
Katie, a dedicated professional, has been a part of the health & social care sector for 6 years and chose to join Avelo in March 2019.
As a senior carer, Katie supports the care management team by visiting clients and ensuring that care and support needs are continually reviewed, updated, and audited.
Whilst with Avelo, Katie has achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
“I enjoy making a difference and making people happy on a daily basis. I love that Avelo spends time with people and isn’t solely focused on personal care. We also have companionship and accompanied outings that so many of our clients look forward to each week.”
